Coming back to desktop app Ascgen, All you need to do is, download the zip file and run the exe file. Ascgen is based on .Net framework 2.0 so ensure that you have .NET framework 2.0 or higher installed to run this program.

* Open the Ascgen - Click on File > Load Image



* Select the image which you want to convert to ascii art

* You can also customize like brightness, contrast, dither (optional)

* That's it, ASCII art will appear on your screen.



Please note : You need .NET framework 2.0 or higher version to run this program. If you don't have .NET Framework, you can download it from here (Choose the "Redistributable Package" for your system - probably x86). Windows Vista comes with .NET 3.0 installed by default.
