Google recently added Avast antivirus as the new antivirus software to the Google pack. Avast antivirus has replaced Spyware Doctor with antivirus, as the default antivirus that ships with Google Pack.
Google Pack added the free version of the Avast antivirus, but only for the following languages: French, German, Italian, Czech, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and Polish. But for most of the languages, Avast antivirus is installed in English only.
Google pack is an all-in-one package of all the free software applications that Google selects and recommends for every computer user. This package includes software applications which are always free and are ready to use in just a few clicks.
It contains Google Chrome web browser, Google Apps, Adobe Reader, Real Player, Google Earth, Google toolbar for Internet Explorer, Picasa and Skype.
The Avast Free antivirus included in the Google Pack is same as the regular Avast antivirus software. According to the recent tests by http://av-comparatives.org/, Avast Free antivirus is one of the best free antivirus software applications available.
