5 Lesser Known Features Of TeamViewer

The TeamViewer software suite, as the title may suggest, is mainly designed for online meeting and remote troubleshooting. Although TeamViewer 10 is officially available not just for desktop operating systems but major mobile operating systems as well, it’s largely used on Windows and Mac.
There are millions of users around the world who use TeamViewer every day to remotely access one computer from another. While the core feature of the TeamViewer is remote desktop, there are some lesser known features which you might find interesting.
4 lesser known features in TeamViewerIn this guide, we will talk about some of the not so popular but useful features of TeamViewer for Windows. In no particular order, following are some of the lesser known but useful features available in TeamViewer.

Record Session

The ability to record sessions is one of the lesser known features of TeamViewer. While one may not need to record sessions each and every time, at times, you might want to record a session for feature reference. With default settings, TeamViewer saves recorded session in .tvs format but there is an option to convert the .TVS format file to the popular AVI format.

Remote printing

Remote printing is one of my favorite features of TeamViewer. As the title of the feature indicates, with Remote printing, you can print documents or pictures stored on a remote PC using your printing machine. For instance, your photos saved on your home computer can be printed using the printer machine at your office by remotely accessing your home PC from your office computer with the help of TeamViewer.

File transfer

Well, there are plenty of ways out there to transfer data between computers. Although there is nothing special about the File transfer feature of TeamViewer, the feature is handy when you want to quickly transfer a bunch of files saved on your home PC from a remote place.

Wake-on-LAN
Wake-on-LAN is definitely one of the key features available in recent versions of TeamViewer. The feature enables you turn on an offline computer with the help of TeamViewer. Although the feature requires a little bit of configuring, when working alright, it’s just awesome.
The feature is helpful if you often need to access a computer remotely but don’t want to keep it turned on all the time. After configuring Wake-on-LAN, you will able to turn on the PC whenever you want to with the help of TeamViewer.
Two factor authentication
As everyone knows, the feature adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Once configured, you’ll need to enter a security code in addition to usual email address and password to log-in to your TeamViewer account. That said, as you likely know, a TeamViewer account is not necessary to start using TeamViewer software.
